Bonnie L. Quick - Writer for Hire

About Bonnie L. Quick, writer.

I started writing again after another career I pursued while raising children and behaving like a grown-up. Since I am now free to do as I choose and really enjoy auto racing, particularly Professional Sports car and Indy car, I decided why not combine my love of writing with the love of the sport?

Over ten years ago I began to see something of interest behind every garage. Perhaps it was the variety of cars and the mix of people from all over the world who came for these contests. I met drivers, owners and hospitality people and became hooked on both the venue and writing about it. I did PR work for a couple of teams also.

I enjoyed interviewing and writing about successful people so much that I expanded my subject matter to include business executives and medical professionals. I also enjoy writing features articles and have many cover stories to my credit. Since I have traveled and lived abroad, I like to write travel stories and tips.

As an independent writer, journalist, ghostwriter and copywriter since 1998, I have credited over 400 published articles for business, motor sports, construction industry, medical, travel, news and trade magazines.

My work has appeared in the St. Petersburg Times, Tampa Bay Business Journal, St. Petersburg Post, Tampa Bay Newspapers, Construction Equipment Guide, North American Quarry News, WHEN, Hard Hat News, Doctor of Dentistry, MD News, Good Dog, Makes and Models, GM Racing Report, Senior Connections, Elder Update, BLS Bugle.

I have a master's degree in Public Administration from Troy State University, and a B.S. from the Pennsylvania State University. I am an avid reader and self-educated in other areas. I teach a creative writing class to elders every two weeks.
In general, I find life fascinating and enjoy reflecting on it. I have expanded my love of writing to include the love of working with people on their original projects.
